Who we are: The Education Partnership provides school supplies for students and their teachers in low-income schools in Southwestern PA. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers embody the organizations core values (equity, integrity, resourcefulness, respect and service) and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative office and warehouse space with a clear focus on helping kids in need.

Through our Teacher Resource Center Program, teachers from partner schools can visit our Teacher Resource Center several times a year to receive thousands of dollars of school supplies at no cost to them.

Duties of Intern:

Research and Focus Group Leadership

• Review classroom items distributed through The Education Partnership’s Teacher Resource Center Program
• Identify common incentive items to be distributed
• Conduct focus groups with teachers to identify how items are being used and how lessons they've created can be shared with other peers

Curriculum Development and Data Management:

• Develop novel lesson plans aligned to state standards directing teachers how to use these items within their classrooms (example sanitizer and strawberry DNA)
• Develop lesson catalog and database so that teachers can access these lessons at any time
• Develop proprietary lessons to

Qualifications:

• Possess superior verbal and written communication skills
• Pursuing Education related Major
• Familiarity with Common Core Standard: NGSS, PA Keystone Anchors, PSSA Assessment Anchors
• Familiarity with creating and developing Lesson Plans
• Possess superior attention to detail
• Be team oriented
• Possess strong problem solving skills
• Possess strong MS Office and Google Suite skills
• Criminal and Child Abuse clearances required
