Senior Celebration 2025

Have you applied for April graduation? If so, please plan to join us for a celebration of your success!

Psychology majors who have applied for April 2025 graduation will be invited. Majors who graduated in December 2024 and those who apply for August 2025 will also be invited.

Date: Friday, May 2, 2025
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: Posvar Patio

The event is a casual celebration – cap and gown not required but you're welcome to wear it - after all, you've earned it!
Families are encouraged to join us. 
Students should watch their Pitt email for an invite from Greenvelope which includes an RSVP link.

Below are some helpful terms:

Graduation – the conferring of an academic degree or diploma.
Commencement – the celebration honoring those who have completed their degree requirements.
Diploma – document awarded by an educational institution to signify the successful completion of a specific course of study. Your diploma will be mailed from the Office of the Registrar 6-8 weeks after the end of the term.
Transcript – official, permanent record of a student’s academic history, including courses taken, grades earned, and other relevant academic information. You can order a final transcript from the Office of the Registrar.
University Honors - Undergraduate students who have attained an outstanding scholastic record and meet certain academic markers will graduate with university honors. University honors cords can be picked up at the Office of Student Records, 208 Thackeray Hall.
Psychology Honors - Psychology majors who successfully complete the Honors in Psychology (PSY 1973 & 1975) will receive the honors designation in psychology. Please see you honors course instructor for information about cords.
