    • Enrollment holds cannot be resolved during drop-in advising.

Schedule an Appointment

  • Who: Declared psychology majors only. (If you are not a declared psychology major please email us or use drop-in advising where we will be able to assist you with scheduling an appt if necessary.)
  • Where: We can meet on this zoom link or in-person at 3113 Sennott Square
  • How to Schedule: All advising at Pitt for all departments uses a system called Navigate 360 Student / Pathways. You can access it on the web or with an app on your phone (iOS App Store, Google Play Store). It will require logging in with dual factor and filling out a short survey.
  • Why:
    • General Appointments: you can schedule an appointment to talk with an advisor at any time, for example to talk about planning for your future, or to talk about research or internship opportunities.
    • Pre-registration Appointments:
      • Students must meet with an academic advisor for a pre-registration appointment prior to being able to self-register. The Registrar’s Office places a registration hold on all student accounts until you have met with your advisor for that appointment. So, remember that you must communicate with an academic advisor for a pre-registration appointment to be able to self-register each semester.
      • Declared psychology majors will receive an email from the Undergraduate Psychology Advising Office (psyadvis@pitt.edu) approximately the fourth week of each fall and spring term with instructions for how to schedule a pre-registration appointment with advising. You will schedule via Navigate 360 Student / Pathways with the specific link provided in the email. All correspondence will go to your Pitt email.
      • Prior to meeting with your advisor, please generate an updated Academic Advising Report via your Student Center, review your remaining requirements, consider potential courses for next term, and make a list of any questions you want to discuss during your meeting.
      • If you are a dual or double major, you may meet either departmental advisor to resolve your enrollment hold.
