About Me:
I spend most of my free time running with the Pittsburgh Pharaoh Hounds and riding my bike around Pittsburgh's ridiculous hills. Although most of my hobbies involve exercise and food, I also love to read fiction and (psychology-unrelated) nonfiction.

Research Interests
I'm interested in the influence of early exposure to poverty and experiences of family stress that often co-occur with poverty (parental depression, parental substance use) on children's psychosocial and health outcomes. In particular, I'm very interested in the effects of specific aspects of poverty on two different domains of child wellbeing: self-regulation and risk for overweight/obesity
