Normative and clinical adolescent neurocognitive and motivational development using neuroimaging.

Research Interests: Brain basis underlying the transition from adolescent to adult level voluntary control of behavior (working memory, response inhibition, reward processing, emotion) in normative and clinical populations including substance abuse, schizophrenia, autism, and borderline personality disorder. fMRI, DTI, MEG, and PET methods are used.

Laboratory of Neurocognitive Development

Behavioral and fMRI studies investigating changes in brain function that underlie cognitive development from childhood through adolescence. We are interested in characterizing healthy development as well as impaired development such as substance use, schizophrenia, autism, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
